Vetramil® Honey Ointment is a nourishing ointment based on honey and essential oils. It has been developed to care for stressed and irritated skin and supports the skin's natural regeneration processes.

Suitable for dogs, cats, rodents, and birds.

What is it for?

Vetramil® Honey Ointment is suitable for the care of:

• stressed and irritated skin areas

• superficial skin damage

• minor wounds and grazes

• dry and sensitive skin

The ointment base keeps the skin supple and protects it from drying out.

Properties and effect

Vetramil® contains enzyme-rich honey. The enzyme glucose oxidase contained in the honey can produce small amounts of hydrogen peroxide in a moist environment, thereby supporting the cleansing of the treated skin area.

The low pH value of the honey and the contained essential oils support the care and regeneration of stressed skin.

Application

First, gently clean the affected skin area with water and dry it with a clean cloth.

Then, apply a thin layer of Vetramil® Honey Ointment to the affected area. Depending on the need, application can be performed 1–2 times daily.

For irritated, closed skin, the ointment can be massaged in gently. Small skin areas can be left open. For larger wounds, a suitable wound dressing may be required.

Important notes

For external use on animals only.

Avoid direct contact between the tube opening and the affected skin area. Close the tube carefully after use.

Do not use if the packaging or tube is damaged.

Use within 3 months of opening.

In the case of deep, heavily soiled, inflamed, or poorly healing wounds, as well as more severe complaints, the animal should be examined by a veterinarian.

• Ocimum basilicum (Basil)

• Essential oils

• Methylparaben

• Propylparaben

Side effects and tolerance

In sensitive animals, intolerance or skin reactions to individual ingredients may occur.

In the event of noticeable skin reactions or a worsening of the treated area, discontinue use and seek veterinary advice.
