Our grape seed oil ointment directly connects to what makes Baden special: wine, grapes, and the vineyards surrounding the city. Baden is located in the heart of the Thermal Region, one of Lower Austria's most traditional wine-growing areas, where grapes have been cultivated and processed into distinctive wines for centuries.
Grape seed oil is therefore deliberately at the heart of the recipe. It is extracted from the seeds of grapes.
It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and natural vitamin E and is valued for its light texture and skin-softening effect.
Shea butter complements the oil with a softening, protective component. It forms a fine protective film without permanently "clogging" the skin and supports the regeneration of dry, stressed skin areas – for example, after a walk through the vineyards or a day in the city. Aloe Vera additionally provides moisture and a soothing effect, ideal for irritated or sun-stressed skin.
Bisabolol (the well-known soothing active ingredient from chamomile) and allantoin have an anti-irritant effect and support natural skin regeneration – perfectly suited to a region where water, thermal baths, and care have a long tradition.
Castor oil and sunflower oil ensure that the ointment spreads well without feeling too greasy. They serve as carriers for the other active ingredients and also provide nourishing fatty acids. The formulation is rounded off with vitamin E as an antioxidant, which protects the oils from oxidation and at the same time supports the skin barrier. Thus, the grape seed oil ointment combines Baden's wine tradition with modern, pleasantly subtle skin care.
