Tussimont Cough Syrup

TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP is purely herbal and helps with dry cough and catarrh of the respiratory tract during colds. Suitable for children aged 2 years and older.

TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP liquefies tough and congested bronchial mucus, accelerates the expectoration of secretions and relieves cough reflex.

The fluid extracts of thyme leaves and senega roots have mucolytic, antispasmodic, and expectorant effects. The essential thyme oil in the extract also has a disinfectant (antimicrobial) effect and positively influences the stomach and intestinal tract.

MODE OF ACTION
Senega saponins promote the secretion of the bronchial mucosa and airways, thus also removing tougher mucus plugs. Bitter orange extract has an aromatic smell and a spicy-bitter taste and is used to improve flavor.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP helps with dry cough and catarrh of the respiratory tract during colds.

METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSAGE
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older take 2 teaspoons of TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP every 2 – 3 hours in acute cases, up to 6 times daily.

Children aged 2 – 11 years take 1 teaspoon 4 times daily.

As symptoms subside, the dosage should be reduced accordingly. Frequent intake is more important than taking a larger amount, which is why more frequent intake at shorter intervals is recommended.

COMPOSITION
100 g Tussimont Cough Syrup contain:
10.0 g Thyme fluid extract
3.0 g Senega root fluid extract
5.0 g Bitter orange fluid extract

Excipients used are sucrose 50.0 g, purified water, ethanol 96%, caramel color, and as preservatives methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate.

NOTES ON EXPIRY DATE AND STORAGE
Before first opening, TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP is stable until the specified expiry date. After opening, TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP should be used within 3 months. TUSSIMONT COUGH SYRUP should always be kept tightly closed, protected from light (in the outer carton). Do not store above 25 °C.

With plant extracts, a precipitate may form, but this does not affect the efficacy.
