Thomapyrin® for headaches and migraines

Areas of Application

Thomapyrin® is used for:

Headaches, especially tension headaches
Migraine attacks with and without aura
Mild to moderate pain, such as toothache or menstrual pain
Pain and fever in colds and flu-like illnesses

Dosage and Application

Adults and adolescents aged 15 and over:
1–2 tablets up to three times daily.

The maximum daily dose of 6 tablets must not be exceeded.

For migraine attacks, treatment should begin with 2 tablets.

Adolescents aged 12 to 14:
½ to 1 tablet up to three times daily.

The maximum daily dose of 3 tablets must not be exceeded.

Headaches

Headaches can be dull, throbbing, or stabbing and can be triggered by various factors such as stress, lack of sleep, infections, or tension. Tension headaches are among the most common forms.

Migraine

Migraine is one of the most common neurological disorders. It manifests as severe, throbbing headaches, often on one side, frequently accompanied by nausea or vomiting.

In migraine with aura, additional visual or sensory symptoms such as flashing lights or zigzag lines occur.

Cluster Headaches

Cluster headaches are extremely severe, unilateral headaches in the eye or temple area. Accompanying symptoms may include watery eyes, a runny nose, or a feeling of pressure in the ear.

Colds

Colds often lead to sore throats, fever, difficulty swallowing, or headaches. Additional symptoms such as coughing or a runny nose usually indicate a viral infection.

Menstrual Pain

Menstrual pain arises from contractions of the uterine muscles and can significantly impair daily life. Exercise and a balanced diet can provide support.

Side Effects

Like any medication, Thomapyrin® can cause side effects. Possible complaints may include gastrointestinal problems, nervousness, or allergies.

250 mg acetylsalicylic acid
200 mg paracetamol
50 mg caffeine

Other ingredients:
Corn starch, stearic acid, lactose monohydrate.
