TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash for inflammation in the mouth and throat
TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash is often used to relieve inflammatory conditions in the mouth and throat, such as sore throats, bad breath or inflammation after dental treatments or surgical wounds. It can also help with stomatitis (inflammation of the oral mucosa), mouth ulcers and canker sores.
The active ingredient benzydamine has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Due to its rapid absorption and local accumulation in inflamed tissues, symptoms quickly subside. Tantum Verde mouthwash is well tolerated locally and provides targeted therapy for inflammatory symptoms and difficulty swallowing.

How should TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash be used?
TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash is usually used 2-3 times a day after meals with 15 ml (equivalent to 1 tablespoon) of undiluted solution. The solution is gargled for 20-30 seconds and then spit out.
Can TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
When used as directed, TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
However, as with any medicine, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy.
What ingredients are contained in TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash?
The active ingredient is benzydamine hydrochloride.
1 ml contains 1.5 mg benzydamine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: ethanol 96%, glycerol, methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, peppermint flavour, saccharin, sodium bicarbonate, polysorbate 20, quinoline yellow (E 104), patent blue (E 131), purified water.
Do not use TANTUM VERDE® Mouthwash if you are allergic to benzydamine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients.
