Always take Prospan® Cough Syrup exactly as directed in the package leaflet. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not entirely sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is

Adults and adolescents and children from 6 years:
5 ml syrup 3 to 5 times daily.

Children from 1 to 5 years:
2.5 ml syrup 3 to 5 times daily.

Infants from 1 to 12 months:
2.5 ml syrup 1 to 2 times daily.

The use of Prospan® Cough Syrup in infants should only be done after consultation with a doctor.

Use in infants under 1 month cannot be recommended due to insufficient data.

Method of administration
For oral use with the enclosed measuring cup. Shake the bottle well before each use!

Duration of use
If symptoms worsen or do not improve after one week, you should consult a doctor.

If you have used a larger quantity of Prospan® Cough Syrup than you should have
In case of overdose, gastrointestinal irritation and possibly vomiting may occur. Symptoms are reversible upon discontinuation of the preparation.

If you forget to take Prospan® Cough Syrup
Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten the previous dose. Continue taking as prescribed by your doctor or as described in the package leaflet.

What Prospan® Cough Syrup contains
The active ingredient is: dry ivy leaf extract.

2.5 ml liquid contains 17.5 mg dry ivy leaf extract. (Drug to extract ratio 5 – 7.5 : 1; extractant: ethanol 30% (m/m)).

The other ingredients are:
Sorbitol solution 70% (E 420, crystallising), potassium sorbate, anhydrous citric acid, xanthan gum, cherry flavour, purified water.
