Posterisan® protect with jojoba oil, beeswax, and cetylstearyl isononanoate was developed for skin protection and the relief of mild discomfort in the anal area due to hemorrhoids. An anal dilator included in the package supports the gradual stretching of the sphincter muscle.

How does Posterisan® protect work?
Posterisan® Protect alleviates mild discomfort in the anal region through its active ingredients.

Jojoba oil regulates the skin's moisture balance and restores elasticity to the skin in and around the strained anal area. In addition, there are indications of an anti-inflammatory effect for jojoba oil.

Cetylstearyl isononanoate makes the skin supple, and beeswax forms a water-repellent, protective film.

Due to its excellent tolerability, Posterisan® protect is suitable for long-term use (up to four weeks without interruption). It is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How is Posterisan® protect used?
The ointment is thinly applied with a finger to the outer area of the anus. For internal use (in the anal canal), an applicator with lateral discharge openings is included in the package.

Regular application before and after bowel movements is useful to maintain protection.

What is the contribution of the anal dilator when using Posterisan® protect?
An anal dilator is a tool to gradually stretch a cramped sphincter muscle or to prevent sphincter cramps.

For better glide, the anal dilator is thinly coated with ointment, and an approximately 1 cm long string of ointment is also placed on the tip of the anal dilator.
