For the supportive treatment of swelling and hematomas after blunt injuries without open wounds, e.g. in case of bruises, strains or sprains.

Composition

Active ingredients (per 100 g paste):

• 5000 IU Heparin sodium
• 1.0 g Salicylic acid
• 1.0 g essential oils
  • of which 0.4 g dwarf pine oil
  • 0.4 g rosemary oil
  • 0.2 g Indian melissa oil

Other ingredients:

• Purified water
• Glycerin
• Silicic clay
• Silicon dioxide
• Sodium hydroxide
• Glucose syrup
• Ethanol
• Sorbic acid
• Methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate
• Fragrances (e.g. Linalool, Citral, Geraniol, Eugenol, D-Limonene, Citronellol)

Areas of application

For the local treatment of:

• Bruises
• Swelling
• Inflammatory irritation after injuries

Typical areas of use are sports injuries or mechanical stress on the musculoskeletal system.

Mechanism of action

• Heparin supports the reduction of bruises, has a decongestant effect and improves blood circulation
• Salicylic acid contributes to pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects
• Essential oils promote local blood circulation

The interaction of these components can reduce tension, pressure pain and restricted movement.

Application

Adults and adolescents from 12 years:

• Apply to the affected area 1–2 times daily

The paste is spread about the thickness of the back of a knife.
Optionally, the treated area can be covered with an air-permeable material.

• Residues can be removed with lukewarm water
• Bandage usually renewed only after 8–12 hours
• Apply until symptoms subside

• Apply only to unbroken skin
• Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds
• Not recommended for use in children under 12 years
• Use according to the package leaflet or professional instructions
