What role do Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii play?

An imbalance of specific intestinal bacteria can lead to a disturbed function of the important intestinal barrier, which is often accompanied by a "silent inflammation". The bacteria Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii play an important role for a normally functioning intestinal barrier: Akkermansia muciniphila is responsible for the production of highly viscous mucus and, with this mucus layer, helps to strengthen the intestinal barrier, so that foreign germs, as well as harmful substances, cannot overcome the intestinal mucosa and enter the bloodstream. Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, on the other hand, is able to produce special fatty acids, including butyric acid (= butyrate). This primarily supplies the intestinal mucosa with energy and thus strengthens the "tight junctions". These are the junctions (membrane proteins) between the cells of the intestinal mucosa that ensure important nutrients are selected and separated from harmful substances.

Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii are, however, anaerobic, meaning they cannot tolerate oxygen and therefore cannot simply be ingested. However, with the targeted supply of certain dietary fibers, a viable and reproductive environment for these bacteria can be created in one's own intestine.

How does OMNi-LOGiC® PLUS work?

Years of scientific work have investigated which nutrients need to be supplied to our intestines so that they can optimally fulfill their functions.

OMNi-LOGiC® PLUS contains a special combination of high-quality vitamins, minerals and trace elements, as well as valuable short-chain carbohydrates (prebiotics), so-called fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), which serve as food for certain bacteria:

• The contained serves to maintain normal mucous membrane function and helps to protect cells from oxidative stress. Calcium plays an important role for the normal function of digestive enzymes, and Vitamin D & Zinc contribute to a normal function of the immune system.
• Fructo-oligosaccharides and galacto-oligosaccharides (FOS/GOS) are special carbohydrates that serve as food for certain bacteria. They stimulate the multiplication of the specific bacteria Akkermansia muciniphila and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii , as well as the conversion of food into short-chain fatty acids (such as butyrate).
• In the context of an energy-balanced diet, glucomannan has been shown to contribute to weight loss.

How to use OMNi-LOGiC® PLUS?

Stir 5 g (5 g = 1 level measuring spoon) into 0.2 l of water/juice etc. 3 times a day and drink immediately (no activation time required). The positive effect of glucomannan occurs with a daily intake of 3 g in three portions of 1 g each, combined with 1-2 glasses of water before meals.

It is essential to consume the product with plenty of fluid so that it reaches the stomach. For consumers with swallowing difficulties or insufficient fluid intake, there is a risk of choking.

Our tip: Start with 1/2 measuring spoon daily and increase by another 1/2 measuring spoon every 3 days, as the bacteria you want to benefit first need to multiply.
