OMNi-BiOTiC® TRAVEL direct sticks are a food supplement containing 10 selected bacterial strains naturally found in the human gut. They contain the same combination of bacterial strains as OMNi-BiOTiC® TRAVEL but have been specifically developed for direct consumption without water.

One 1.2 g direct stick contains at least 5 billion viable and reproductive bacteria.

The direct sticks are neutral in taste, dissolve directly on the tongue, and are therefore particularly suitable for travel, when on the go, or wherever suitable drinking water is not readily available.

Each direct stick provides at least 5 billion viable and reproductive bacteria.

The bacterial strains occur naturally in the human gut and have been specifically selected by the manufacturer for this combination.

Additionally, the product contains various carbohydrates and dietary fibers, including fructooligosaccharides (FOS), corn dextrin, and polydextrose.

Direct consumption without water

The main difference from the classic OMNi-BiOTiC® TRAVEL is the dosage form.

The direct sticks were specifically developed so that the powder can be taken directly without water.

To do this, place the contents of the stick on your tongue and let it dissolve slowly.

This is particularly practical when traveling if no suitable drink is available or if you want an uncomplicated way to take it on the go.

The direct sticks are neutral in taste.

Recommended intake

Take 1 OMNi-BiOTiC® TRAVEL direct stick (= 1.2 g) daily starting a few days before the start of your trip.

Open the stick at the marked spot and pour the entire contents directly onto your tongue without water and let it dissolve.

Daily intake should be continued throughout the entire trip.

It is recommended to take it on an empty stomach if possible.

Dietary fiber and fructooligosaccharides

OMNi-BiOTiC® TRAVEL direct sticks contain small amounts of various dietary fibers, including fructooligosaccharides (FOS).

These can serve as a food source for certain gut bacteria.

One direct stick contains less than 0.05 g of fructooligosaccharides.

According to the manufacturer, this corresponds roughly to the fructose content of 1 g of apple.

Important notes for travelers

In case of diarrhea, sufficient intake of fluids and electrolytes is particularly important.

Seek medical help in the event of blood in the stool, high fever, severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, circulatory problems, signs of dehydration, or severe or prolonged diarrhea.

For small children, elderly individuals, and people with a weakened immune system, medical advice should be sought particularly early in the event of severe diarrhea.

The product contains xylitol. Excessive consumption of foods containing sugar alcohols can have a laxative effect.

Side effects and tolerance

No general side effects are reported when used as intended.

Especially at the beginning of use, the contained bacterial cultures and dietary fibers may cause temporary flatulence, a feeling of fullness, or changes in stool frequency in sensitive individuals.

The contained xylitol can have a laxative effect if consumed in higher amounts and may cause gastrointestinal discomfort.

In case of known fructose intolerance, please note that one stick contains less than 0.05 g of fructooligosaccharides (FOS).

The product should not be taken in case of known allergies or intolerance to any of the ingredients.

If diarrhea occurs during a trip, especially severe or persistent symptoms may be caused by an infection and should be medically clarified.
