What is nasic nasal spray and what is it used for?
Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictive properties and thus causes decongestion of the mucous membranes.
Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which is characterized by wound-healing and mucous membrane-protecting properties.

How to use nasic nasal spray?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults and schoolchildren should, if necessary, insert one spray of nasic nasal spray into each nostril up to 3 times a day, holding the bottle upright; during the spraying process, breathe in lightly through the nose.

Duration of application
Do not use nasic nasal spray for more than 7 days without medical or dental advice. The doctor should always be consulted regarding the duration of use in children.
Continuous use of nasic nasal spray can lead to chronic swelling and ultimately to atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of nasic nasal spray is too strong or too weak.
If you have used more nasic nasal spray than you should
If you have used more nasic nasal spray than you should as a result of an overdose or accidental oral ingestion, the following effects may occur, especially in childhood:
Pupil dilation (mydriasis), nausea, vomiting, bluish discoloration of the lips (cyanosis), fever, cramps, cardiovascular disorders (tachycardia, cardiac arrhythmia, circulatory collapse, cardiac arrest, hypertension), lung function disorders (pulmonary edema,
respiratory disorders), psychological disorders. In addition, drowsiness, decreased body temperature and coma may occur.
In case of such signs, consult a doctor immediately. Can nasic nasal spray cause an addiction effect?
In the case of prolonged rhinitis, long-term continuous use should be avoided.
Too frequent or too long use can increase the risk of nasal mucosa dehydration, and it can also lead to a reduction in effectiveness (addiction effect) or, after sudden discontinuation, to a worsening of the
rhinitis symptoms.
If you have forgotten to use nasic nasal spray
Do not use twice the amount next time, but continue the application as described in the dosage instructions.

What nasic nasal spray contains
- The active ingredients are: Xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol 10 g solution contains 10 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 500 mg dexpanthenol. One spray of 0.1 ml solution (corresponds to 0.10 g) contains 0.1 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0 mg dexpanthenol.
- The other ingredients are: 0.02 mg benzalkonium chloride per spray, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Ph. Eur.), purified water.
