nasic® for children is a nasal spray. Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictive properties and thus causes decongestion of the mucous membrane. Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which is characterized by wound-healing and mucous membrane-protecting properties.
nasic® for children is used for decongestion of the nasal mucous membrane in case of rhinitis and for supportive treatment of healing of skin and mucous membrane lesions, episodically occurring runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica) and for the treatment of nasal obstruction after surgical interventions on the nose.

How to use nasic® for children?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.#
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, children aged 2 to 6 years are given one spray of nasic® for children into each nostril up to 3 times a day as needed, with the bottle held upright; during spraying, breathe in slightly through the nose. The dosage depends on individual sensitivity and effect.
Use in children aged 2-6 years is exclusively on medical prescription.
Children aged 6 to 14 years:
For children aged 6 to 14 years, one to two sprays of nasic® for children are applied to each nostril up to 3 times a day as needed. For children up to 14 years, use should be supervised by parents or adults.\
Duration of use
Do not use nasic® for children for longer than 7 days without medical or dental advice. For the duration of use in children, the doctor should always be consulted. Continuous use of nasic® for children can lead to chronic swelling and ultimately to atrophy of the nasal mucous membrane.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of nasic® for children is too strong or too weak.
