LUUF® Essential Oils Balm

What is LUUF® Essential Oils Balm and what is it used for?
LUUF® Essential Oils Balm contains as active ingredients the essential oils from eucalyptus and from the resin balsam of various pine species, as well as camphor, menthol, and thymol.

The active ingredients are partially absorbed through the skin and cause increased blood circulation, which creates a warming sensation. The essential oils also reach the lungs directly as volatile components from the treated body parts via the inhaled air.

The effect of LUUF® Essential Oils Balm is antispasmodic, antiseptic (germ-inhibiting) and expectorant. The tenacious mucus is liquefied and can be coughed up more easily. Furthermore, breathing is facilitated and the urge to cough is relieved.

Areas of application:
For external use in colds with symptoms such as cough, runny nose and pharyngeal catarrh, as well as for supportive treatment in tracheal and bronchial catarrh (bronchitis) and stubbornly recurring catarrhs.

How to use LUUF® Essential Oils Balm?
Rubbing: Rub the patient's neck, chest, and back 2 to 3 times daily, preferably mornings and evenings, with approx. 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of balm (at least a hazelnut-sized amount). To improve the effect, these areas are covered with pre-warmed cloths.

Inhalation: Place approximately a hazelnut-sized amount (approx. 1/2 - 1 teaspoon) of balm into a container with hot water. Inhale the vapors for several minutes. If symptoms persist for longer than 5 days or worsen during treatment, a doctor should be consulted.

Children: The LUUF® balms are tailored to different age groups. For infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age, Baby LUUF® Essential Oils Balm should be used. For the external treatment of colds in children aged 2 to 12 years, Children's LUUF®
Balm is available.

What LUUF® Essential Oils Balm contains:
The active ingredients in 1 g of balm are: 100 mg camphor, 27.5 mg menthol, 50 mg essential eucalyptus oil, 50 mg rectified essential turpentine oil, 30 mg essential dwarf pine oil, and 25 mg essential pine needle oil, 2.5 mg thymol.

The other ingredients are:
White petroleum jelly, nutmeg oil, cedar leaf oil and hard paraffin.
