Lefax® Suspension – reliable and gentle against flatulence and infant colic
Even with a single application, Lefax® Suspension helps quickly and reliably against flatulence and gas-related complaints in babies with 3-month colic. The practical dosing pump allows for safe and precise administration of the liquid (suspension). Lefax® Suspension is also well-suited for adults with swallowing difficulties and elderly people due to its uncomplicated dosage form.

The medicine is free from alcohol, sugar, lactose, contains no sodium benzoate, and has a light banana flavor. Pregnant and breastfeeding women can also take Lefax® Suspension.

When is Lefax® Suspension used?
Too much air in the stomach can lead to abdominal pain and flatulence. This is particularly uncomfortable for infants and young children and concerns both the little ones and their parents. In addition to massaging and comforting, there is another way to gently relieve the discomfort: Lefax® Suspension helps quickly and effectively against gas-related gastrointestinal complaints in infants and young children. But Lefax® Suspension is also suitable for adults suffering from gas-related symptoms such as feelings of fullness and tension in the upper abdomen, bloated stomach (meteorism), flatulence during pregnancy, stomach cramps, or increased gas formation after operations.

The active ingredient in Lefax® Suspension
The active ingredient simethicone contained in Lefax® Suspension frees the gas trapped in foam bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract and thus quickly and gently relieves flatulence and other gas-related symptoms such as feelings of fullness and abdominal cramps. It also prevents the reformation of foams in the stomach and intestines. Due to its purely local mode of action in the gastrointestinal tract, the active ingredient is not absorbed by the body. It leaves the body unchanged after fulfilling its function. This makes the medicine particularly well tolerated.

Intake and dosage of Lefax® Suspension
Before use, it is important to shake the medicine vigorously. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the following dosages should be observed for gas-related gastrointestinal complaints:

• Infants and bottle-fed babies: Simply add 1 to 2 pump strokes to the milk meals in the bottle
• Toddlers: 2 pump strokes with or after meals
• Adults: 2 to 4 pump strokes with or after meals

The intake should be with a little water and is also possible before bedtime if needed.

Lefax® Suspension can also be taken over a longer period due to its good tolerability. However, newly occurring and/or long-lasting abdominal complaints should be clarified by a doctor to identify the cause of the complaints and any underlying, treatable illness.
