What is Insecticum® Gel and what is it used for?
Due to its composition, Insecticum®
Gel quickly develops a pain-relieving, anti-itch, cooling, and decongestant effect. The alcohol-containing, fat-free gel base also provides a disinfectant effect.
The local anaesthetic benzocaine inhibits the excitability of sensory nerve fibres. This leads to rapid pain and itch relief in the affected skin areas. Diphenhydramine is a proven histamine blocker and has an anti-allergic effect against hypersensitivity reactions of the skin. It quickly eliminates itching and also counteracts swelling and redness.
The combination of the two active ingredients benzocaine and diphenhydramine enhances their pain-relieving and itch-relieving effect. L-Menthol creates a refreshing cooling sensation on the skin, which helps to alleviate the symptoms.
Indications:
For pain, itching, swelling and redness after insect bites (such as mosquitoes,
gnats, horseflies, bees, wasps and hornets). After contact with nettles.
