Imupret®. Say STOP to the cold!

What is special about Imupret®?
Imupret® is a herbal medicine for all phases of a cold. It works at the first signs of a cold and also during a cold. Imupret® alleviates the course of a cold and has immune-strengthening and antiviral effects. It contains a unique combination of 7 medicinal plants: horsetail, real marshmallow, chamomile, dandelion, yarrow, common oak and real walnut. Imupret® is suitable for children aged 6 and over as well as for adults and is very well tolerated.

Who is Imupret® suitable for?
Imupret dragees are suitable for children aged 6 and over and adults and, thanks to the practical blister packaging, are also perfect for on the go.

How is Imupret® taken?
Imupret® dragees are suitable for the whole family and can be used by adults and children aged 6 and over. The daily dose for acute symptoms is 5-6 x 1 dragee for 6-11 year olds and 5-6 x 2 dragees for those aged 12 and over. If symptoms subside, the dosage can be reduced to 3 times a day. The dragees should be taken whole with some liquid.

What is the recommended duration of use for Imupret® dragees?
The use of Imupret® dragees should be limited to 14 days. For the first signs of a cold, a two-week application is a sensible therapeutic approach. Should the symptoms persist after this time, we recommend seeking medical advice to decide on further action and possibly also on longer use.

How well are Imupret® dragees tolerated?
Imupret® dragees are characterized by their very good tolerability and can therefore be used by adults and children aged 6 and over. The herbal composition is alcohol and gluten-free. Patients with wheat allergy, gluten intolerance or sensitivity can also use Imupret® dragees.

When should Imupret® dragees not be used?
Imupret® dragees must not be used if there is a hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients, or if an allergy to composite flowers is known.

When Imupret® and when Sinupret®?
While Imupret® is used at the first cold symptoms such as a scratchy throat, difficulty swallowing, sore throat or cough, Sinupret® is used to relieve the symptoms of sinusitis with a runny nose. Since colds typically begin with a scratchy throat and a runny nose often develops into sinusitis later, Sinupret® can be a useful addition to Imupret®.

What are the causes of a cold?
The immune system can be weakened by various factors, including cold, stress, unbalanced diet, lack of sleep, overexertion, alcohol, nicotine, illnesses or medication, which increases susceptibility to colds. However, a cold is actually triggered by certain viruses that are particularly transmitted in places with many people, such as in public transport, at work or in kindergarten. At the first signs such as tingling in the nose, a scratchy throat, headaches and general fatigue, it is therefore advisable to support one's own immune system – ideally before further symptoms such as coughing, runny nose and sore throat develop. In this way, the course of the cold can be alleviated.

Is Imupret® vegan?
No, Imupret® contains lactose (milk sugar) and is therefore not vegan.

Is Imupret® gluten-free?
Yes, Imupret® is gluten-free.

Is Imupret® lactose-free?
No. We do not recommend the use of Imupret® for patients with lactose intolerance.
