Product Information

HexoCare® Shampoo 4% is a chlorhexidine-based shampoo concentrate for the intensive cleaning of skin and coat in dogs and cats. It is particularly suitable when a strong cleansing effect is desired.

The foam produced during washing helps to remove dead skin cells and other organic material. This reduces impurities and unpleasant odors. Plant-based ingredients simultaneously nourish the skin and coat. An added conditioner ensures that the ingredients remain on the coat for a longer period.

Application and dosage

First, thoroughly wet the coat with lukewarm water.

Depending on the size of the animal, froth the following amount of shampoo concentrate with at least the specified amount of water:

• Small dogs and cats: 15 ml shampoo + 185 ml water

• Medium dogs: 30 ml shampoo + 370 ml water

• Large dogs: 50 ml shampoo + 620 ml water

For reference: One teaspoon corresponds to approximately 5 ml, one tablespoon to approximately 15 ml.

Distribute the diluted shampoo mixture over the animal and massage it thoroughly into the coat against the direction of hair growth. Leave it on for about 5–7 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Afterward, dry the animal well.

In cases of heavy soiling, the animal can be shampooed twice. In this case, allow the shampoo to take effect accordingly during the second wash.

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.

In sensitive animals, skin irritation or intolerance reactions to individual ingredients may occur.

If noticeable skin reactions occur, discontinue use and seek veterinary advice if necessary.
