HexoCare® Shampoo 1% is a chlorhexidine-containing shampoo for the intensive cleaning of skin and coat in dogs and cats. It is particularly suitable when a thorough cleansing effect is desired.

The lather produced during washing helps to remove dead skin cells and other organic material. This reduces impurities and unpleasant odors. Plant-based ingredients simultaneously nourish the skin and coat.

Application and dosage

First, thoroughly wet the coat with lukewarm water.

Depending on the size of the animal, lather the following amount of shampoo with at least the specified amount of water:

• Small dogs and cats: 15 ml shampoo + 35 ml water

• Medium-sized dogs: 30 ml shampoo + 70 ml water

• Large dogs: 50 ml shampoo + 117 ml water

For guidance: one teaspoon is approximately 5 ml, one tablespoon is approximately 15 ml.

Distribute the diluted shampoo mixture on the animal and massage it thoroughly into the coat against the direction of hair growth. Leave on for about 5–7 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Afterward, dry the animal well.

If the animal is heavily soiled, it can be shampooed twice. In this case, leave the shampoo on for the corresponding time during the second wash.

Important notes

For external use on animals only.

Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of accidental eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.

In case of persistent or severe skin problems, the animal should be examined by a veterinarian.

Side effects and tolerance

In sensitive animals, skin irritation or intolerance reactions to individual ingredients may occur.

If noticeable skin reactions occur, use should be discontinued and veterinary advice sought if necessary.
