Product Information

HexoCare® Gel is a moisturizing and nourishing skin gel containing chlorhexidine and Tris-EDTA for small animals. Due to its high film-forming capability, the gel adheres well to the skin and is particularly suitable for the targeted care of small and hard-to-reach skin areas.

The included soft rubber applicator allows for gentle application, even in the area of the ear flap and the external ear canal.

Properties and care effects

Chlorhexidine digluconate supports hygienic skin care and reduces the burden of an altered skin flora. Tris-EDTA complements and enhances this effect.

Due to its gel-like consistency, HexoCare® forms a well-adhering, permeable film on the skin. This helps protect the skin surface from the accumulation of bacteria and yeast without impairing natural skin renewal.

Nourishing ingredients such as witch hazel water, ribwort plantain extract, and aloe vera soothe stressed skin. Lanolin has a refatting effect and, together with moisturizing components, supports skin care.

Application

For stressed skin areas, skin folds, lips, and in the interdigital area:

Apply the gel 2–3 times daily until the skin condition has improved. Afterward, application can be reduced to 3 times per week.

For application in the ear:

Apply the gel 2–3 times daily to the ear flap or carefully introduce it into the external ear canal.

Important notes

For external use on animals only.

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.

Application in the ear should only be carried out if the eardrum is intact.

In case of pain, severely inflamed skin areas, noticeable ear discharge, or persistent problems, the animal should be examined by a veterinarian.
