Herposicc
For the healing of cold sores.
Benefits
Herposicc is characterized by the combination of three active ingredients, making it the only lip ointment that offers a 3-in-1 effect for developing cold sores.
- Promotes healing
- Pain relief
- Antibacterial protection
Zinc oxide dries out and heals the cold sore. Zinc oxide is very often used in wound healing, especially for weeping wounds. It accelerates the drying of the blisters and promotes healing (crusting).
Pain and itch relief through Benzocaine. Benzocaine is a particularly effective surface anesthetic. Even small amounts successfully combat pain and burning. Benzocaine is poorly soluble in water and therefore cannot be dissolved by saliva. It adheres to the lips for a long time and exerts its pain-relieving effect there.
Additional antibacterial protection through Phenol. When used in the correct dosage, as in Herposicc (less than 1%), phenol provides excellent protection against bacteria. This is particularly important for open cold sores, as they are especially susceptible to bacterial infections. At the same time, phenol also protects Herposicc itself from bacterial contamination.
Also ideal for children. Due to its slightly bitter taste, Herposicc is particularly suitable for children, as it prevents them from licking the ointment off their lips.
Area of application
You can use Herposicc for the rapid healing of cold sores.
Cold sores are caused by an infection with herpes viruses. The primary infection almost always occurs in childhood and is usually silent, meaning no symptoms are visible. A weakening of the immune system, febrile illnesses, physical or mental stress, hormonal changes in women, or intense sun exposure can reactivate the viruses and trigger an outbreak of the infection.
The course of the disease essentially occurs in two stages:
- Prodromal or multiplication phase. The viruses migrate from the nerve cells to the superficial skin cells, infect them, and begin to multiply. A feeling of tension on the lips, a slight pulling, tingling, or itching can be felt.
- Blister phase. The characteristic blisters form in small groups. The surrounding area is slightly red, and pain and burning occur.
Dosage
Apply Herposicc lip ointment to the blisters several times a day.
Delivery time: approx. 3-4 days (international shipping varies)
