Composition
1 lozenge contains:
Cetylpyridinium chloride H2O 1.5 mg
Peppermint oil 1.2 mg
Menthol 1.2 mg
Sorbitol 742.4 mg (equivalent to 0.06 BE)
Properties and Efficacy
Halset has a good effect against bacteria and fungi that increasingly occur in inflammation of the mouth and throat. Due to its surface-active properties, Halset can easily penetrate into the folds and pockets of the mouth and throat and distribute itself evenly over them.
Halset is sugar-free.
Indications
For mild to moderate inflammation of the pharynx and oral cavity (sore throat, inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums).
Method of Application
Allow tablets to dissolve slowly in the mouth to achieve an optimal effect (do not chew).
Dosage
Adults and adolescents
1 tablet at intervals of 1-2 hours (maximum 8 tablets per day).
Children from 6 years of age
1 tablet at intervals of 2-3 hours (maximum 6 tablets per day).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the medicinal product. Fructose intolerance (very rare metabolic disorder).
Not for children under 6 years of age to avoid accidental swallowing of the lozenge.
Pregnancy and lactation:
No foetal-damaging effects are known. However, for reasons of particular caution, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Side Effects
Very rarely allergic reactions (e.g. skin rashes). Rarely temporary disturbance of taste perception. Any possible slight browning of the teeth during treatment can be removed by usual dental care.
