Grippostad® Hot Drink for Fever and Pain, vegan

Grippostad® Hot Drink relieves pain and fever, also in the course of colds.
Colds are usually viral infections of the respiratory tract. These infections occur when the body's immune system does not sufficiently fight the pathogens. Headaches and body aches, as well as fever, are among the most common symptoms of a cold, usually appearing at the beginning.

Thanks to paracetamol, Grippostad® Hot Drink is effective against fever and pain. The hot drink has a pleasant lemon taste and provides essential fluids. Its dosage form makes it easy to take even for patients with swallowing difficulties.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents from 12 years (and at least 43 kg body weight)

• 1 sachet as a single dose

The interval between two doses should be at least 6 hours.
A single dose of 1 sachet must not be exceeded.
The maximum daily dose of 3 sachets/day at intervals of 6 – 8 hours must not be exceeded.

The contents of the sachet are put into a cup, filled with hot water, stirred well and drunk hot.
GOOD TO KNOW:

• Grippostad® Hot Drink is also suitable for asthmatics. Except for analgesic asthma, which is triggered by taking certain painkillers.
• Diabetics and patients with high blood pressure can also take the medicine, provided they have healthy kidney function.

What is Grippostad® Hot Drink used for?
Grippostad® Hot Drink is used for

• Mild to moderate pain (such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain)
• Fever and pain in colds and flu-like infections.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents from 12 years (and at least 43 kg body weight) take 1 sachet as a single dose.
The interval between two doses should be at least 6 hours.
A single dose of 1 sachet must not be exceeded.
The maximum daily dose of 3 sachets/day at intervals of 6 – 8 hours must not be exceeded.

Children under 12 years or persons under 43 kg body weight
Grippostad® Hot Drink powder is not suitable for children under 12 years or persons under 43 kg body weight, as it cannot be dosed appropriately according to weight.
The use of Grippostad® Hot Drink in patients with liver dysfunction and Gilbert's syndrome (a congenital disease) should only be done on medical advice. The dose must be reduced or the dosage interval (= the time between two doses) extended.
In case of severe renal dysfunction, a dosage interval (= the time between 2 doses) of at least 8 hours must be maintained.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Grippostad® Hot Drink contains sucrose and aspartame.

Note for diabetics: This medicine is suitable for diabetics. 1 sachet contains 3.8 g sucrose, corresponding to approx. 0.32 bread units (BU).

What Grippstad® Hot Drink contains
The active ingredient is: Paracetamol
1 sachet with 5 g powder contains 600 mg Paracetamol.
The other ingredients are
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Aspartame (E 951), Ethylcellulose, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, Sucrose, Citric acid, Lemon flavor
