Grippostad® C Capsules for colds and flu-like infections

Colds are usually viral infections of the respiratory tract that can affect the entire body. Many people suffer simultaneously from a runny nose, headaches and body aches, cough, and fever during a cold. All these cold symptoms can be treated with a combination preparation.
Grippostad® C capsules contain a unique combination of active ingredients: paracetamol, chlorphenamine, and caffeine, which quickly relieve common cold symptoms such as dry cough, fever, headaches and body aches, and runny nose – plus vitamin C to support the immune system.
HOW THE 4-INGREDIENT COMBINATION WORKS:

• Paracetamol helps relieve headaches and body aches and reduce fever.
• Chlorphenamine helps to decongest the nasal mucous membrane and reduce mucus production, thereby facilitating breathing. At the same time, it relieves dry cough.
• Caffeine enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol. This allows for a lower dosage of paracetamol, reducing the body's exposure to pain medication.
• Vitamin C supports the immune system.

GOOD TO KNOW:

• Grippostad® C capsules are also suitable for asthmatics. Except for analgesic asthma, which is triggered by taking certain pain relievers.
• Diabetics and patients with high blood pressure can also take the medication, provided they have healthy kidney function.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents 12 years and older

• 2 capsules 3 times daily

The capsules should be taken with sufficient liquid, e.g., a glass of water.

What are Grippostad® C capsules used for?
Grippostad® C capsules are used for the symptomatic treatment of co-occurring symptoms such as headaches and body aches, runny nose, and dry cough as part of a common cold. In case of concurrent fever or elevated body temperature, Grippostad® C has a fever-reducing effect.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: 2 capsules 3 times daily.

Patients with impaired liver and/or kidney function: For patients with impaired liver and/or kidney function, as well as congenital increased bilirubin levels in the blood due to a rare liver disease ("Gilbert's syndrome" or "Meulengracht's disease"), the dose must be reduced or the dosing interval extended. Please discuss this with your doctor.
You must not take Grippostad® C if you have severe liver and/or kidney impairment.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you must not take Grippostad® C capsules.

What Grippostad® C capsules contain
The active ingredients are: Paracetamol, Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Caffeine, and Chlorphenamine maleate.
1 capsule contains 200 mg paracetamol, 150 mg ascorbic acid, 25 mg caffeine, and 2.5 mg chlorphenamine maleate.
The other ingredients are gelatin, glycerol tristearate, lactose monohydrate, quinoline yellow (E104), erythrosine (E127), titanium dioxide (E171).
