FRONTPRO® 11.3 mg is a chewable tablet for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs. The active ingredient afoxolaner works from the inside out and provides long-lasting parasite protection that is not affected by bathing, swimming, or shampooing.

This variant with 11.3 mg of afoxolaner is intended for dogs with a body weight of 2 to 4 kg.

What is it for?

FRONTPRO® is used for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs.

The chewable tablet:

• kills fleas within 8 hours

• combats an existing tick infestation within 48 hours

• is effective against fleas for up to 5 weeks

• is effective against ticks for up to 1 month

• kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs

• thereby helping to control flea infestations in the domestic environment

Properties and Action

FRONTPRO® contains the active ingredient afoxolaner, which belongs to the isoxazoline class. After ingestion, the active ingredient is absorbed and acts against fleas and ticks via their nervous system.

Application and Dosage

FRONTPRO® can be administered directly or mixed with food.

1. Remove one chewable tablet from the packaging.

2. Give it to the dog directly or with food.

3. Ensure the tablet has been completely consumed and swallowed.

For dogs weighing 2 to 4 kg, use one FRONTPRO® 11.3 mg chewable tablet in accordance with the package leaflet.

How often should it be used?

The effect against fleas lasts for up to 5 weeks, and the effect against ticks lasts for up to 1 month.

For continuous protection, regular monthly treatment may be necessary. Application should be carried out in accordance with the package leaflet.

In case of severe flea infestation

FRONTPRO® kills adult fleas before they can lay eggs. However, flea eggs, larvae, and pupae already present in the environment may continue to develop and hatch later.

In the case of a severe flea infestation, consistent cleaning and treatment of the environment may therefore also be necessary.

Important Information

FRONTPRO® is intended exclusively for dogs and must not be used on cats or other animal species.

The following strengths are available for dogs:

• 2–4 kg: 11.3 mg afoxolaner

• over 4–10 kg: 28.3 mg afoxolaner

• over 10–25 kg: 68 mg afoxolaner

• over 25–50 kg: 136 mg afoxolaner

For dogs over 50 kg in body weight, a suitable combination of different strengths may be required in accordance with the package leaflet.

Afoxolaner should be used with particular caution in dogs with epilepsy or other known seizure disorders. In case of doubt, a veterinarian should be consulted before use.

If a dog has accidentally ingested several chewable tablets, a veterinarian should be contacted immediately.

• Medium-chain triglycerides

• Macrogol 4000

• Povidone

Side Effects and Tolerability

Afoxolaner belongs to the isoxazoline class of active ingredients. Side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, and itching. In very rare cases, neurological reactions such as seizures may occur.

Special caution is advised for dogs with epilepsy or other seizure disorders.
