FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is a veterinary medicinal product for the protection of dogs against fleas, ticks, and flying insects. The combination of fipronil and permethrin possesses both killing and repellent properties.

This version, containing 33.8 mg of fipronil and 252.4 mg of permethrin, is intended for small dogs with a body weight of 2 to 5 kg.

What is it intended for?

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is used for the prevention and treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs. Additionally, the product has a repellent effect against flying insects such as mosquitoes and stable flies.

Due to the repellent effect, parasites are warded off before they bite, which can reduce the risk of transmission of certain diseases spread by parasites.

Properties and Effects

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® combines two active ingredients:

• Fipronil has a killing effect against fleas and ticks.

• Permethrin has a repellent and killing effect against ticks and flying insects as well as a killing effect against fleas.

After application, the active ingredients spread via the skin's natural sebum layer.

Application

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is applied as a spot-on directly to the dog's skin.

1. Remove the pipette from the packaging and open it.

2. Part the fur in the neck area until the skin is visible.

3. Apply the active ingredient solution directly to the skin according to the package insert.

4. Empty the pipette completely.

The solution then spreads across the skin's natural sebum layer.

Notes on application

The pipette size corresponding to the dog's body weight must always be used.

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is water-resistant after the intended distribution period. Please refer to the specific details in the package insert for this.

Important information

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® is intended exclusively for dogs.

Do not use on cats. Due to the permethrin it contains, the product can be dangerous for cats.

Do not use on rabbits.

This version is intended for dogs with a body weight of 2 to 5 kg (XS).

The product can be used on puppies from 8 weeks of age and with a body weight of at least 2 kg.

Side effects and tolerance

Because it contains permethrin, FRONTLINE TRI-ACT® must not be used on cats.
