In which flavors are Emser Pastillen® available?
Emser Pastillen® are available in five varieties: Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges without menthol, Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges without menthol sugar-free, Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges with menthol freshness sugar-free, Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges with sage sugar-free, and Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges with ginger, sugar-free.
The varieties Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges without menthol and Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges without menthol sugar-free are free of essential oils and can be used safely during homeopathic treatment.

Can Emser Pastillen® also be used in children under 6 years of age?
Emser Pastillen® may be used by children who have already acquired the ability to controlled sucking – this is usually the case at the age of 3. However, Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges with sage and Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges with ginger are only suitable for children from 6 years of age. For younger children, we recommend Emsillen®. The children's throat lozenges are available in two varieties: Emsillen® children's throat lozenges vanilla or Emsillen® children's throat lozenges cocoa. They are free of essential oils and therefore homeopathy-compatible, as well as sugar-free and tooth-friendly.

Can an antibiotic help more effectively with sore throats than throat lozenges?
That depends on the cause of the illness. An antibiotic is only effective if the illness is caused by bacteria. However, approx. 90% of sore throats are caused by viruses, in which case an antibiotic is not the right choice. Throat lozenges with natural action such as Emser Pastillen® can relieve symptoms and at the same time support healing.

Application:
At the first signs of inflammation such as sore throat, difficulty swallowing, cough, or hoarseness, as well as before or during significant vocal strain, children aged 6 and over can dissolve or slowly melt one Emser Pastillen® lozenge with sage sugar-free up to 4 times a day, as needed; adolescents over 12 and adults can use 1 to 2 lozenges up to 6 times a day.

Emser Pastillen® throat lozenges with sage sugar-free can be taken for an unlimited period.
