What is Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray?
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray is a local therapeutic for targeted application on the mucous membranes of the throat and pharynx. The active substance is exclusively Natural Emser Salt. The complex mineral and trace element combination of Natural Emser Salt naturally loosens stubborn deposits and reduces acid stress on the mucous membranes.

What does Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray contain?
100 ml solution contain: 1.175 g Natural Emser Salt, Purified Water.
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray is free from preservatives and chemical additives.

What is special about Natural Emser Salt?
Natural Emser Salt is a very complex salt mixture that contains numerous minerals and trace elements important for the human organism (analytical data of ions in g/kg: Lithium 0.21, Sodium 308.7, Potassium 6.11, Magnesium 0.291, Calcium 0.016, Manganese 0.0001, Iron (II, III) 0.003, Fluoride 0.078, Chloride 188.4, Bromide 0.202, Iodide 0.005, Nitrate 0.355, Sulfate 9.24, Bicarbonate 474.4, Carbonate 14.0).

When is Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray used?
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray moistens and cleans the throat and pharyngeal mucous membranes and reduces acid stress on the mucous membranes. Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray is used for

• cold symptoms such as sore throat, cough and hoarseness
• reflux-related voice disorders
• to support and maintain function in cases of severe vocal strain, dry mucous membranes (Sicca syndromes) and constant throat clearing.

When should you not use Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray?
No contraindications are known to date.

What should be considered in children and the elderly, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray is a pure solution of Natural Emser Salt in a salt concentration adapted to blood. It is well tolerated by all people and can therefore be used in all the above cases when used as directed. Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray is free of essential oils and vasoactive substances. This makes it particularly suitable for pregnant women, children and for use during breastfeeding.

How and how often should you use Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray?
Depending on your needs, spray 1–3 sprays of Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray into the throat and pharynx one to several times daily. The bottle should be held as vertically as possible.

How long should you use Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray?
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray can be used indefinitely and is therefore ideally suited for long-term use or the treatment of frequently recurring respiratory infections. If the symptoms do not improve within 3 days despite using Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray, we recommend consulting a doctor.

What undesirable effects can occur when using Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray and what countermeasures should then be taken?
No side effects have occurred to date when used as directed.

What else should be noted?
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray is preservative-free and equipped with a special spray system. This means that opened sprays can be used for up to 3 months after first use.
Emser® Throat and Pharynx Spray should no longer be used after the expiry date printed on the packaging. Please always store out of reach of children.
