Echinacin® Madaus® Tropfen

What is Echinacin Madaus and what is it used for?

Echinacin Madaus is a herbal medicine for the supportive treatment and prevention of recurrent respiratory tract infections.

How to take Echinacin Madaus?

pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage
Adults and adolescents over 12 years:

For acute infections:
For initial shock treatment on day 1, 2.5 ml, then up to 7 times at intervals of 1-2 hours: 1.25 ml. From day 2 for further treatment: 2.5 ml 3 times a day.

For prevention (prophylaxis):
2.5 ml 3 times a day. A measuring cup with markings for 1.25 ml, 2 ml and 2.5 ml is included in the package.

Children under one year of age must not take Echinacin Madaus. Since there is insufficient data, use in children aged 1-12 years cannot be recommended.

Method of administration
To be taken orally in some liquid.

Duration of use
Echinacin Madaus should not be used continuously for longer than 8 weeks. If symptoms worsen or persist for longer than 10 days, a doctor should be consulted.

What Echinacin Madaus contains:
The active ingredient is: pressed juice from fresh flowering purple coneflower herb (Echinaceae purpureae herba) (ratio fresh plant : pressed juice 1.7-2.5:1). 100 g of liquid contains 80 g of pressed juice.

The other ingredients are:
Ethanol 22% V/V, purified water.
