Dr. Böhm® optico eye drops offer relief. Developed with the Eye Clinic Graz, they naturally provide soothing moisture and alleviate uncomfortable irritations.

Good to know: While the moisturizing effect of conventional eye drops quickly diminishes due to UV light, Dr. Böhm® optico guarantees a particularly long-lasting effect. This is made possible by a formula with high-dose hyaluronic acid and Euphrasia (eyebright), which is almost identical to human tears – confirmed by a European patent.

Area of application:
Dr. Böhm® optico has a composition almost identical to human tears, making it particularly well-tolerated. Dr. Böhm® optico provides long-lasting and intensive moisture – for effective long-term relief of dry and irritated eyes.

Mode of action
Sodium hyaluronate stabilizes the tear film and moisturizes intensively. A complex of eyebright extract (Euphrasia) and mannitol protects the moisture film of highly concentrated, long-chain sodium hyaluronate from premature degradation by UV light, ozone, and fine dust, and ensures that the eye drops remain on the eye surface for longer.

The natural isotonicity with sodium chloride and the unique carbonate buffer system, as well as glucose, correspond to the physiological composition of tear fluid and thus ensure the best possible tolerability, even for contact lens wearers.

The unique formulation thus provides effective long-term relief for dry and irritated eyes and also holds a European patent EP 2.815.740 B1.

Due to their preservative-free nature, Dr. Böhm® optico moisturizing eye drops are well-tolerated even with prolonged use and are particularly suitable for wearers of soft and hard contact lenses.

Composition:
Sodium hyaluronate (0.25%), Euphrasia extract (0.1%), mannitol (0.1%), glucose, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, water for injections

Dosage and application:
Dr. Böhm® optico can be used as often as needed and permanently for intensive moisturizing. If necessary, instill 1-2 drops into each eye. To do this, take a strip of single-dose containers from a pouch and separate one dose. Make sure the container is undamaged, otherwise the sterility of the contents can no longer be guaranteed.
To open the sterilized single-dose container, twist (do not pull) the upper cap part of the container. Tilt your head slightly back, look up, and pull the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye. By gently pressing the upper part of the dispenser, instill one drop into the lower conjunctival sac. Avoid any contact of the dropper tip with the eye. The gel-like liquid forms a natural protective film, which spreads evenly after blinking several times – even for contact lens wearers.

Storage:
Store at 2 °C to 25 °C. Protect from frost. Store unopened single-dose containers protected from light in the original carton.
