WHAT IS DISMENOL FORTE IBUPROFEN 400 MG AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg, is a substance with pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing effects.
Indications for Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg:
Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg is used for mild to moderate pain conditions, such as:
- Menstrual pain
- Headache, backache, toothache, muscle pain, joint pain
- Pain associated with colds and flu-like infections
HOW TO TAKE DISMENOL FORTE IBUPROFEN 400 mg?
Always take Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg exactly as described in this leaflet. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. All users should take the lowest effective dose for the shortest period necessary to achieve pain relief, in order to minimize side effects. The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal. Do not take Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg for longer than 4 days without medical advice.
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over and weighing at least 40 kg:
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over is ½ to 1 film-coated tablet. If necessary, another ½ to 1 film-coated tablet can be taken – up to a maximum of 3 film-coated tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen) daily. An interval of 6 hours between doses should be maintained.
Children under 6 years (and children under 20 kg body weight):
Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg is not suitable for children under 6 years and children under 20 kg body weight.
Children aged 6 years and over and weighing at least 20 kg:
Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg should only be given to children aged 6 to 12 years with a medical prescription.
The following dosage recommendation applies:

In people with impaired renal function

In people with impaired liver function

What Dismenol forte Ibuprofen 400 mg contains
The active ingredient is ibuprofen.
Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.
The other ingredients are:
Tablet core: Croscarmellose sodium (Type A), maize starch, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate. Film coating: Talc, Opadry white Y-1-7000 (hypromellose, titanium dioxide E171, macrogol
400).
