COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose® contains no preservatives. A sterile filter ensures the sterility of the solution even after repeated use.
What does COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose® contain?
COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose® is a clear, colorless, viscous solution with cherry flavor. 1 ml solution contains 1.2 mg iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®), sodium chloride, xylitol, cherry flavor, buffer, and purified water.
Carragelose® is a marine active ingredient derived from red algae.
What are the properties of COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose®?
Frequent stays in places with low relative humidity (such as heated or air-conditioned rooms, cars, trains, or airplanes) can cause a dry and irritated oral and pharyngeal mucosa.
Even heavy strain on the throat, e.g., from smoking, prolonged speaking, or singing, can lead to dehydration of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa. This often results in coughing, hoarseness, or sore throats.
Cold viruses mainly enter the body through the mouth and nose. Once they have entered the throat, they can settle on the mucous membrane, multiply there, and spread.
The Carragelose® contained in COLDAMARIS throat spray stabilizes the natural moisture film of the throat mucosa, which thus remains on the mucous membrane for longer. The moisture film has a physical protective function as a barrier against external influences.
What is COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose® used for?
- For moistening the oral and pharyngeal mucosa, e.g., with cough, hoarseness, or dry air.
- For the prevention and supportive treatment of all complaints that occur due to dry or irritated oral and pharyngeal mucosa, caused e.g. by smoking, prolonged speaking or singing.
- For supportive use in the treatment of viral infections of the upper respiratory tract.
How and how often should you use COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose®?
Spray one or more sprays into the throat several times a day, as needed. The application can be done over a longer period if necessary, there is no risk of overdose.
Before the first use, pump a few times until a uniform spray mist emerges. When spraying, hold the bottle as upright as possible so that the suction tube extends into the liquid.
When should you not use COLDAMARIS throat spray with Carragelose®?
In case of known hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.
