Areas of application - What is CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray used for?

• For loosening and removing excess or hardened earwax.
  
• To prevent inflammation of the external ear canal.
  
• For cleaning the auricle and the external ear canal.
  

There are no concerns about use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray is suitable for use in adults and children aged 3 and over.

What are the properties of CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray?
CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray is sprayed into the external ear canal, penetrates the earwax
and makes it more soluble and therefore easy to remove. Hardened earwax impairs
hearing and can lead to inflammation in the external ear canal. It should therefore be removed regularly.

CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray is also suitable for hearing aid wearers.

CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray can also be used before ear irrigation by a doctor.

When should you not use CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray?

• If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any component of the preparation,
  
• in case of inflamed ear canal and perforated eardrum (hole in the eardrum).

Dosage and method of application - How should you use CERUSTOP Ear Oil Spray?
To remove excess or hardened earwax, it is recommended to spray 2 - 3 sprays of body-warm CERUSTOP ear oil into the external ear canal for adults, and 1 - 2 sprays for children. To prevent the ear oil from leaking out, close the ear with a small cotton ball, whereby the ball should only be loosely inserted and never pressed into the ear canal.
After approx. 10 minutes of exposure, gently rinse the ear with warm water - if possible with a hand shower.

In case of severe hardening, repeating the process is recommended.
For additional cleaning of the auricle, spray a few sprays of body-warm CERUSTOP ear oil onto a cotton ball and remove adhering earwax, dirt and skin flakes
by wiping the auricle several times. Wipe with a dry cloth afterwards.
After rinsing with water, we recommend the use of NORMISON ear drops for rapid drying and restoration of the natural acid protective layer of the skin of the external ear canal.
