Dry facial skin can indicate an impaired skin protective barrier, often caused by a ceramide deficiency, which can be age-related. To counteract dry facial skin, the application of a face cream with ceramides is recommended. CeraVe's moisturizing lotion contains the three essential ceramides 1, 3, and 6-II, which promote the regeneration of the natural skin protective barrier and improve the appearance of facial skin.
