Treat fungal infections of the skin and feet with Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream
Untreated skin fungus can spread to several body regions or be transmitted to other people. Due to the high risk of infection, it is important to act quickly in case of a fungal disease of the skin or foot. Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream has been specially developed for the treatment of skin and foot fungal infections and is also suitable for external treatment of vaginal yeast infections and for partner treatment. Thus, it is a true all-rounder for skin fungus.

Fungal infections (mycoses) can occur on both skin and mucous membranes. Different groups of pathogens can cause these skin fungal infections: dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream helps in the treatment of various types of pathogens on body parts such as between the toes or fingers. Not only symptoms such as itching, burning, redness, skin cracks, and scaling, but also their causes are specifically and thoroughly combated with Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream. The cream not only works on the skin surface, but also penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin.

How to use Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream?
You should start treatment immediately after detecting a fungal infection to prevent the fungus from spreading or infecting other people.

• First, wash the affected body area before application and dry it thoroughly. Towels should always be washed after use to prevent the spread of germs.
• Apply a sufficient amount of cream (about half a centimeter of cream for a palm-sized area).
• Repeat this two to three times daily for a period of at least four weeks (depending on the extent and location of the infection).

Important notes on use
Even if symptoms such as itching or redness usually subside after three days, pathogens are still present in the skin. To avoid a repeated outbreak of the fungal disease, application should not be stopped prematurely.

If you are looking for an even more comfortable therapy, you can alternatively use Canesten® Bifonazole Cream with the active ingredient Bifonazole. In contrast to Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream (or other creams with the active ingredient clotrimazole), Canesten® Bifonazole Cream only needs to be applied once a day, thus offering a more convenient application for skin and foot fungus.

The cream can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but only after medical consultation during pregnancy.

What active ingredient is contained in Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream?
Canesten® Clotrimazole Cream contains the active ingredient clotrimazole. Due to its broad spectrum of activity, the cream works against many different pathogens that can cause fungal infections of the skin in humans. Through local application, yeast fungi (causes of infections of the labia, adjacent areas, and inflammation of the glans and foreskin of men) and the types of fungi found in foot and nail fungal diseases are inhibited in their growth and killed. One gram of the cream contains 0.01 grams of clotrimazole.
