Itchy and burning feet, blisters and scaling on the skin, unpleasant odor? The cause of these symptoms could be a foot fungal infection. If a fungal infection is present, quick action is required! Because if left untreated, the fungi on the foot can even spread to other parts of the body. Transmission to other people is also possible. Other pathogens are often added. Bacteria trigger an inflammatory reaction and thus lead to further complaints such as unpleasant foot odor – effective treatment is now important.

Canesten® Bifonazol Cream helps thanks to its broad-spectrum action against all relevant pathogens of skin fungus and eliminates so-called mixed infections. The active ingredient bifonazole penetrates deep into the skin, fights the germs and kills the fungus – the symptoms are thus effectively treated. The cream quickly relieves symptoms such as:

• Itching and burning on the skin
• Redness
• whitish scaling
• Blisters
• painful skin cracks

• Before applying Canesten® Bifonazol Cream, you should clean the affected skin areas with water and dry them thoroughly.
• It is best to apply the cream thinly in the evening before going to bed and massage it in briefly. Avoid eye contact with the cream.

The treatment only requires a small amount of time: it is sufficient to apply a one-centimeter-long strand of ointment (for an area about the size of a palm) to the affected area once a day.

Since Canesten® Bifonazol Cream is waterproof after absorption, it is ideal for sports and leisure. In addition, the cream is used together with the Canesten® Bifonazol nail set to carry out the effective Canesten® Bifonazol 2+4 week short therapy for nail fungus.

Important application instructions
Do not stop the therapy if the symptoms improve, as this often happens within the first three days. However, the pathogens – both fungi and bacteria – remain in the skin layers longer. If you stop using Canesten® Bifonazol Cream prematurely, there is a possibility that the germs will multiply again and the foot or skin fungus will return.

The following therapy periods must be observed depending on the type of disease:

• three weeks: foot mycoses, interdigital mycoses
• two to three weeks: mycoses on the body, hands and in skin folds
• two weeks: pityriasis versicolor, erythrasma (bacterial skin infection)
• two to four weeks: yeast infections of the skin

The medicine may also be used in infants and young children after consulting a doctor. Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen, if no improvement occurs after one week, or if side effects such as pain at the application site occur.

Which active ingredient is contained in Canesten® Bifonazol Cream?
Canesten® Bifonazol Cream for foot and skin fungal infections contains the active ingredient bifonazole. This penetrates the skin, kills the fungus there and fights all relevant pathogens that cause a skin or foot mycosis. This quickly relieves symptoms such as itching and burning. Noticeable results occur within a few days of starting the application. One gram of the cream contains 0.01 grams of bifonazole.

If there is an intolerance to an ingredient, Canesten® Bifonazol Cream must not be used.

WHAT IS CANESTEN BIFONAZOL - CREAM AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Canesten Bifonazol - Cream is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent for the treatment of fungal infections (mycoses) of the skin.

Fungal infections can occur practically anywhere on the body; areas where skin touches skin, i.e. between the toes, in the groin or in the armpit, are particularly at risk. Bifonazole, the active ingredient in Canesten Bifonazol - Cream, penetrates the affected skin layers and kills the fungus there.

Canesten Bifonazol - Cream is used for the treatment of, for example, fungal infections of the feet and hands (tinea pedis, tinea manuum) (including the treatment of an exposed nail bed following a nail substance-dissolving nail fungus therapy), fungal infections of the rest of the skin and skin folds (tinea corporis, tinea inguinalis), pityriasis versicolor and skin diseases (erythrasma).
