Vaginal thrush is one of the most common infections in women's intimate areas. Typical symptoms include itching, burning, redness, swelling of the labia, and a whitish discharge. The infection is often caused by yeasts, particularly Candida albicans.

Canesten® Clotrimazole Gyn 3-Day Combi consists of vaginal tablets and a cream for external use. The active ingredient clotrimazole inhibits the growth of fungi and certain bacteria and specifically combats the infection in the vaginal area and on the external intimate area.

The vaginal tablets are also enriched with lactic acid, which promotes the natural acidic environment of the vagina and strengthens the body's own defenses.

This combination therapy often leads to a noticeable relief of symptoms after just a few days.

Application

Treatment takes place over three consecutive days:

• Insert one vaginal tablet deep into the vagina each evening
• Apply the cream thinly to the labia and adjacent skin one to three times daily

The cream should be used for one to two weeks, depending on the symptoms.

Note

Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation.

If symptoms worsen or no significant improvement occurs within a few days, a doctor should be consulted.

In case of first occurrence, frequently recurring infections or additional symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain or foul-smelling discharge, a medical examination is necessary.

During pregnancy, use should only be done after consulting a doctor.

Simultaneous use of latex products such as condoms or diaphragms may temporarily impair their safety.

Store dry and not too warm. Keep medicines out of reach of children.

Active ingredients:
Clotrimazole.

Other ingredients:
Lactic acid, benzyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, purified water and other pharmaceutical excipients.

Side effects

Occasionally, local skin or mucous membrane irritations such as burning, redness, itching or feelings of tension may occur. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions to individual ingredients may occur.
