Canephron® forte should not be taken for longer than 2 weeks without consulting a doctor. Long-term use of medication should generally be under medical supervision.

Yes. No interactions between Canephron® forte and other medicines are known.

How does a bladder infection develop?
A bladder infection, also called cystitis or urinary tract infection, is often caused by bacteria from the intestinal flora. It can be promoted by factors such as insufficient fluid intake, cold, sexual intercourse, inadequate intimate hygiene, and hormonal changes. The bacteria enter the bladder via the urethra and lead to inflammation of the bladder lining with symptoms such as pain and burning during urination, frequent urination, cramps, and lower abdominal pain.

How can a bladder infection be prevented?
There are some behaviors that can reduce the risk of a bladder infection:

• Drink enough fluids.
• Ensure warm clothing in the kidney and lower abdominal area.

• Clean the intimate area as much as possible with warm water and pH-neutral soaps.
