BRONCHOSTOP Bronchitis akut is a herbal medicine for the treatment of productive cough in acute bronchitis as part of a cold. This medicine is used in adults and children aged 6 years and over. If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
How to take BRONCHOSTOP Bronchitis akut drops?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over:
34 drops 5 times a day Total daily dose: 170 drops (corresponding to 2.2 g thyme liquid extract and 1.1 g primrose root tincture per day) Children aged 6-11 years: 29 drops 3-5 times a day Total daily dose: up to 145 drops (corresponding to 1.9 g thyme liquid extract and 0.9 g primrose root tincture per day)
Children under 6 years:
Use in children under 6 years is not recommended due to lack of data and due to the alcohol content (See warnings and precautions).
Method of administration:
For oral use. Take BRONCHOSTOP Bronchitis akut undiluted if possible (e.g. applied to sugar). You can also take BRONCHOSTOP Bronchitis akut diluted (with a little water or warm tea).
Duration of use:
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
If you have taken more BRONCHOSTOP Bronchitis akut than you should
Poisoning with preparations from thyme and primrose root are not yet known.
In case of overdose, stomach discomfort, vomiting or diarrhea are possible. In this case, notify a doctor. He can decide on any necessary measures.
If you forget to take BRONCHOSTOP Bronchitis akut
Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten the previous dose.

- The active ingredients are: 1 ml (corresponding to 0.98 g or approx. 31 drops) contains: 392 mg liquid extract from thyme (Thymi herba), drug-extract ratio (DER) 1:2-2.5; extractant: ammonia solution 10% (m/m) : glycerol 85% (m/m) : ethanol 90% (V/V) : water in the ratio 1 : 20 : 70 : 109 196 mg tincture from primrose root (Primulae radix), drug-extractant ratio = 1:5, extractant: ethanol 50% (V/V).
