What do you need to consider before taking BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup?
BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredients, another member of the Lamiaceae family, or any of the other ingredients of BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup.

Special caution is required when taking BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup. If you experience fever, shortness of breath, or purulent sputum, a doctor should be consulted. Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended, as there is insufficient data and medical advice should be sought.

BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup must not be administered to alcoholics. Caution is advised for pregnant and breastfeeding women, children, and risk groups such as those with liver disease and epileptics.

How to use BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup?
Always take BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup exactly as instructed in this package leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage:
Adults and adolescents from 12 years: 10 ml every 3 hours up to 6 times daily; total daily dose up to 60 ml.
Children from 4 – 12 years: 5 ml every 3 hours up to 6 times daily; total daily dose up to 30 ml.

Children under 4 years:
Use in children under 4 years of age is not recommended, as there is insufficient data and medical advice should be sought.

Method of administration:
For oral use. Take BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup undiluted by pouring the dose specified above into the enclosed measuring cup. The measuring cup has a scale between 2.5 ml and 20 ml. You can also drink BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup diluted in water or warm tea if necessary.

Duration of use:
Self-treatment with BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup should be limited to 5 days. If no significant improvement has occurred by then, you should consult a doctor, as a more serious illness may be present.

How to store BRONCHOSTOP Thyme Marshmallow Cough Syrup?
Do not store above 25°C. Keep the bottle in the original packaging to protect the contents from light. Keep medicines out of the reach of children. You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the label and carton after "Exp. by:". The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Close the bottle well after use. Use the contents within 4 weeks after opening. Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer need. This measure helps to protect the environment.

The active ingredients are:
5 ml (= 5.7 g) syrup contains:
0.77 g thyme liquid extract (drug-extract ratio 1:2-2.5, extractant ammonia solution 10% (m/m):
Glycerol 85% (m/m): Ethanol 90% (V/V): Water in a ratio of 1:20:70:109)
0.66 g marshmallow root liquid extract (drug-extract ratio 1:20, extractant water)
The other ingredients are:
Raspberry juice, ascorbic acid, sucrose, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, ethanol, purified water.
