Age Precision® – Age-dependent fever assessment

Normal body temperature and the assessment of elevated temperature can vary by age.

Application

1. Place a new Braun Hygiene Cap on the probe tip.

2. Switch on the thermometer.

3. Select the appropriate age group.

4. Carefully position the probe tip in the ear according to the instructions for use.

5. Start the temperature measurement.

6. Read the result and the color-coded assessment on the display.

7. Remove and dispose of the used protective cap.

If necessary, the night mode or silent function can be activated.

Important notes

For reliable measurement results, the correct positioning of the ear thermometer is crucial. Please use a new Braun Hygiene Cap for every measurement.

For infants under three months, a body temperature of 38 °C or higher should be evaluated by a doctor immediately. Medical advice is also required in case of persistent fever or noticeable symptoms.

The age-dependent color display serves as a guide and does not replace medical assessment.
