Properties and Efficacy:
Vitamin H.
Area of application:
Biotin deficiency, also in biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency.
Method of application:
Take with liquid.
Dosage:
2.5 mg once daily. For prophylaxis, less than 0.2 mg biotin per day is sufficient.
Carboxylase deficiency:
TD 5-10 mg. For children and adolescents, use only under medical supervision.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Use possible.
Side effects:
Very rare allergies, skin.
Interactions:
Raw egg white (biotin absorption impaired).
