Small accidents and injuries happen quickly. In most cases, these are superficial wounds such as abrasions, lacerations, scratches, or cuts, where the upper skin layers are locally damaged.
Usually, this only results in minor bleeding with slight pain. However, open wounds carry the risk of wound infection. For this reason, it is important to disinfect the wound to prevent infections.
Bepanthen® Plus Cream combines the disinfectant active ingredient chlorhexidine with the healing-promoting dexpanthenol in one cream – Disinfects PLUS heals.
Thanks to its dual mode of action, Bepanthen® Plus Cream is suitable for the treatment of all types of superficial wounds where there is a risk of infection.
Chlorhexidine is an effective and well-tolerated antiseptic with a broad antibacterial spectrum that combats bacteria that have entered the wound through dirt. This can prevent or contain wound infection.
The active ingredient Dexpanthenol accelerates wound healing. It supports the building and regeneration of skin cells from within and thus promotes the formation of new skin tissue. This allows the wound to heal faster.

How to use Bepanthen® Plus Cream?
Apply Bepanthen® Plus Cream to the cleaned wound or inflamed skin areas as needed once to several times daily. The cream absorbs quickly and is non-greasy.
The duration of use depends on the type and course of the injury and is usually about 1 - 2 weeks. Application to large skin areas should be avoided.
Bepanthen® Plus Cream is suitable for use in infants.
Avoid Bepanthen® Plus Cream coming into contact with eyes, ears, and mucous membranes. If the wound does not improve or even worsens, please consult a doctor.

What Bepanthen® Plus Cream contains:
The active ingredients are: 1 g Bepanthen Plus Cream contains as active ingredients 50 mg (= 5 %) Dexpanthenol and 5 mg (= 0.5%) Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: white petrolatum, liquid paraffin, lanolin (E 913), macrogol stearate-1800, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, DL-pantolactone, purified water.
