Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis) belongs to the broomrape family (Orobanchaceae) and is a delicate wild plant native to Europe. It prefers to grow in meadows and pastures and is easily recognizable by its small white-violet flowers with a yellow spot.

The name "Eyebright" refers to its long tradition in European herbal medicine. The plant has been valued since the Middle Ages and described in numerous herbals. For the production of the mother tincture, selected fresh plant parts are processed according to the specifications of the German Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia (HAB).
