ADOLORINI® DIRECT 200 mg

What is ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension and what is it used for?
This medicine contains ibuprofen and belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs/antirheumatics (NSAIDs). These have pain-relieving and fever-reducing effects.

ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain (e.g. headache, back pain, toothache, muscle pain, joint pain, menstrual pain, nerve pain) and/or fever (e.g. during colds and flu-like infections) in children aged between 6 and 11 years with a body weight between 20 kg and 39 kg, and in adolescents aged 12 years and over with a body weight of 40 kg or more, as well as in adults.

If you do not feel better or even worse, and if the use of this medicine is required for more than 3 days in children and adolescents, or for more than 4 days in adults for pain, or for more than 3 days for fever, consult your doctor.

How to use ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, consult a doctor immediately if symptoms (e.g. fever and pain) persist or worsen (see section 2).

The recommended dose is:
Ibuprofen is dosed in children according to body weight and age.

In children, the recommended total daily dose is 20-30 mg ibuprofen per kg body weight, administered in 3-4 individual doses. The time interval between 2 doses should not be shorter than 6 hours. Do not exceed the recommended maximum daily dose. A maximum dose of 30 mg/kg ibuprofen should not be exceeded within 24 hours.

Children under 6 years of age and/or with a body weight under 20 kg:
Due to the high dosage of ibuprofen in one sachet, this medicine must not be given to children under 6 years of age and/or with a body weight under 20 kg.

Recommended dosage for children aged 6 to 11 years with a body weight of 20 kg to 39 kg, for adolescents aged 12 years and over with a body weight of 40 kg or more, and for adults:

ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension may only be given to children from 6 to 12 years of age and/or from 20 kg body weight with a medical prescription.
You can reduce unwanted side effects by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period necessary to control symptoms.

Frequency of use
If necessary, the recommended dose should be administered approximately every 6 to 8 hours.

Duration of use
If use of this medicine is required for more than 3 days in children and adolescents, or if symptoms worsen, consult your doctor immediately.
If use of this medicine is required for more than 3 days in adults for fever or more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, consult your doctor immediately.

Instructions for use
For oral use.
Press the contents of one sachet of ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension directly into the mouth and drink a glass of water if necessary.

For patients with a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the medicine during meals.

The sachet has an elongated shape with a tear line at the top for opening and dispensing the contents.

If you have used more ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension than you should
If you have accidentally exceeded the recommended dosage, please contact a doctor immediately.

If you have taken more ADOLORINI DIREKT than you should, or if children have accidentally taken the medicine, always contact a doctor or hospital nearby for an assessment of the risk and advice on further treatment. Symptoms can include nausea, stomach pain, vomiting (possibly with blood), headache, ringing in the ears, confusion and nystagmus. At high doses, drowsiness, chest pain, palpitations, fainting, convulsions (especially in children), weakness and dizziness, blood in the urine, shivering and breathing problems have been reported.

If you forget to use ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension
Do not take or administer a double dose if you have forgotten the previous intake or application.

Contents of the pack and other information
What ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg Oral Suspension contains
The active ingredient is Ibuprofen.
Each sachet contains 200 mg Ibuprofen in 10 ml oral suspension.
The other ingredients are:
Sodium benzoate (E211), citric acid, anhydrous (E330), sodium citrate (E331), saccharin sodium (E954), sodium chloride, hypromellose (type 2910) (E464), xanthan gum, maltitol solution (E965), glycerol (99.8%) (E422), strawberry flavor (contains nature-identical flavoring agents, natural flavor preparations, corn maltodextrin, triethyl citrate (E1505), propylene glycol (E1520) and benzyl alcohol), purified water.
