Weleda Birkenkohle comp. Kapseln

Diarrheal diseases can be caused by infections, spoiled food, or unfamiliar food while traveling. In such cases, the intestine partially loses its ability to distinguish between the interior and exterior and becomes more permeable to the body's own fluids and salts. Severe bloating and intestinal cramps often occur as side effects.
 
 The ingredient antimonite in Birkenkohle comp. has a formative effect and supports the body in redefining its boundaries. Chamomile additionally has an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect. Furthermore, birch charcoal promotes the regulation of the intake and excretion of fluids and air during digestion. Therefore, this medicine is suitable for the relief of acute digestive complaints such as diarrhea, bloating, and intestinal cramps.

Acute digestive problems accompanied by bloating, intestinal cramps, and diarrhea. The antispasmodic components of chamomile root as well as the regulating and strengthening effect of antimonite, together with the water- and gas-binding properties of birch charcoal, contribute to the normalization of impaired stomach and intestinal function.
 
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or suspect that you are pregnant, or if you are planning to become pregnant, please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. The use of Birkenkohle comp. is not permitted during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: take 1 capsule 3 to 5 times daily.
 The capsules should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid (1 glass of water).

1 capsule contains: 27 mg Antimonite D2, 232 mg Carbo Betulae, 11 mg Chamomilla recutita, Radix, ethanol. Decoctum Ø=D1.
 
Other ingredients: lactose monohydrate, sorbitol solution (70%), gelatin (for the capsule shell).
