Orthomol Natal is a dietary supplement with selected micronutrients and the omega-3 fatty acid DHA. It has been specially developed to provide nutrients when trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and while breastfeeding.

What is the product for?

Orthomol Natal supplies essential nutrients during the period from conception to pregnancy and breastfeeding.

• Folic acid contributes to normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and plays a role in cell division.

• Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus.*

• Maternal intake of DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and breastfed infant.

• Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin.

• Calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and folic acid play a role in cell division.

• Vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and vitamin D, as well as folic acid, iron, zinc, selenium, and copper, contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

• Calcium, magnesium, and zinc, as well as vitamin C, vitamin D, and vitamin K, contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.

• Calcium and magnesium contribute to normal muscle function.

• Iodine and selenium contribute to normal thyroid function.

Important notes

• When trying to conceive and during pregnancy, ensure adequate folate intake.

• Contains fish oil.

• In case of thyroid diseases, due to the iodine content, consult your doctor before taking the product.

• If also taking other vitamin or mineral-containing preparations, the total intake should be considered.

• Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

• Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Ingredients

Sucrose, calcium lactate gluconate, citric acid, maltodextrin, dextrose, fish oil, magnesium carbonate, magnesium citrate, calcium lactate, sodium carbonate, corn starch, calcium carbonate, gelatin, flavor, vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), other ingredients according to package information.

The beneficial effect is achieved with an additional daily intake of 400 µg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. The development of a neural tube defect is influenced by several risk factors; altering one factor may or may not have a beneficial effect.

The product should not be taken in case of known allergy or intolerance to fish or any of the other ingredients.
