ratioDolor rapid Ibuprofen 400 mg Soft Capsules are an over-the-counter medication containing the active ingredient ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing properties.

The soft capsules are suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with a minimum weight of 40 kg.

Areas of Application

For short-term symptomatic treatment of:

• Mild to moderate headaches

• Toothaches

• Menstrual pain

• Fever and pain associated with colds

Please consult your doctor if you, as an adolescent or adult, do not notice an improvement in fever after 3 days or pain after 4 days, or if your condition worsens.

Dosage and Administration

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over (at least 40 kg body weight)

• Initial dose: 1 soft capsule (400 mg ibuprofen)

• Thereafter, if necessary, 1 soft capsule every 6 hours

The maximum daily dose is:

• 3 soft capsules within 24 hours

• corresponding to 1200 mg ibuprofen

Method of Administration

Oral use.

The soft capsules should be swallowed whole with sufficient water.

Patients with a sensitive stomach are advised to take the medication with a meal. If taken immediately after food, the onset of action may be delayed.

Use in Children and Adolescents

Do not use in:

• Children under 12 years of age

• Adolescents weighing less than 40 kg

A doctor should be consulted if use in children and adolescents is required for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen.

Duration of Use

This medicine is intended for short-term use only.

The lowest effective dose should always be taken for the shortest necessary period.

In case of persistent or worsening symptoms, or in case of infections with fever or pain, a doctor should be consulted.

Side Effects

As with all medicines, side effects can occur with ratioDolor rapid Ibuprofen 400 mg Soft Capsules, but they do not necessarily affect every patient.

• Diarrhea

• Vomiting

Occasional Side Effects

• Headaches

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

• Skin rashes

• Itching

Rare to Severe Side Effects

• Stomach or intestinal ulcers

• Gastrointestinal bleeding

• Severe skin reactions

• Liver or kidney dysfunction

• Severe allergic reactions with shortness of breath or swelling

• Cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke, especially with long-term use of high doses

If you experience signs of a severe allergic reaction, breathing difficulties, facial swelling, blood in the stool, black stools, or severe stomach pain, stop taking the medication immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
