What is Dismenol® Ibuprofen 200 mg and what is it used for?

Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Dismenol® Ibuprofen 200 mg, belongs to the group of so-called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The active ingredient has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing properties.

Dismenol® Ibuprofen 200 mg is used for mild to moderate pain, for example:

• Menstrual discomfort

• Headaches

• Back pain

• Toothaches

• Muscle and joint pain

• Pain associated with colds and flu-like infections

If you do not feel better or even worse after 4 days, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Application and Dosage

Dismenol® Ibuprofen 200 mg should always be taken exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.

The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid during or after a meal.

To reduce possible side effects, the lowest effective dose should always be used for the shortest possible duration.

Ingredients

• 200 mg Ibuprofen per film-coated tablet

Side effects

Like all medicines, Dismenol® Ibuprofen 200 mg can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Possible side effects include:

• Stomach discomfort

• Nausea and vomiting

• Abdominal pain

• Heartburn

• Diarrhea or constipation

• Headaches

• Dizziness

• Skin rashes

Rarely, more severe side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, allergic reactions, or kidney dysfunction may occur.

In case of severe abdominal pain, blood in the stool, shortness of breath, or allergic reactions, medical help should be sought immediately.
