ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg oral suspension

ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg oral suspension contains the active ingredient ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing effects.

The ready-to-use suspension is suitable for the treatment of pain and fever in children, adolescents and adults.

Indications

For the short-term symptomatic treatment of:

• Headaches
• Toothaches
• Backaches
• Muscle aches
• Joint pain
• Menstrual pain
• Nerve pain
• Fever associated with colds
• Fever associated with flu-like infections

Suitable for:

• Children aged 6 to 11 years with a body weight of 20 to 39 kg
• Adolescents aged 12 years and older with a body weight of 40 kg and above
• Adults

If symptoms worsen or if treatment is required for longer than recommended, a doctor should be consulted.

Dosage and Administration

The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration of treatment necessary.

Children 20–29 kg (6–9 years)

• Single dose: 200 mg ibuprofen (1 sachet)
• Maximum daily dose: 600 mg ibuprofen (3 sachets)

Children 30–39 kg (10–11 years)

• Single dose: 200 mg ibuprofen (1 sachet)
• Maximum daily dose: 800 mg ibuprofen (4 sachets)

Adolescents from 40 kg and adults

• Single dose: 200–400 mg ibuprofen (1–2 sachets)
• Maximum daily dose: 1200 mg ibuprofen (6 sachets)

There should be an interval of at least 6 hours between two doses.

Use in children aged 6 to 12 years or from 20 kg body weight should only be done under medical prescription.

Method of Administration

• For oral use.
• Squeeze the contents of one sachet directly into the mouth.
• If necessary, drink a glass of water afterwards.
• For sensitive stomachs, it is advisable to take it during meals.

Duration of Administration

• Children and adolescents: maximum 3 days without medical consultation
• Adults with fever: maximum 3 days
• Adults with pain: maximum 4 days

If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, ADOLORINI DIREKT 200 mg can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common

• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Indigestion
• Heartburn
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting

Uncommon

• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Fatigue
• Skin rash
• Itching

Rare to severe

• Stomach or intestinal ulcers
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Liver dysfunction
• Kidney dysfunction
• Severe skin reactions
• Severe allergic reactions with shortness of breath or swelling

Overdose

If larger quantities are taken, the following may occur:

• Nausea
• Stomach pain
• Vomiting
• Headaches
• Tinnitus
• Confusion
• Nystagmus
• Drowsiness
• Seizures
• Dizziness
• Palpitations
• Difficulty breathing

In case of suspected overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, shortness of breath, swelling, blood in the stool, or severe stomach pain, stop taking the medication immediately and seek medical advice.
