ADOLORIN® IBUFORTE EXPRESS 400 mg Film-coated Tablets

ADOLORIN® IBUFORTE EXPRESS contains the active ingredient ibuprofen in the form of ibuprofen lysinate. This form of the active ingredient is absorbed particularly quickly, which can contribute to a rapid onset of action.

Ibuprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing effects.

The film-coated tablets are lactose-free and gluten-free.

Areas of Application

For the short-term symptomatic treatment of:

• Back pain

• Toothache

• Muscle pain

• Joint pain

• Menstrual pain

• Nerve pain

• Tension headaches

• Acute migraine attacks with or without aura

• Pain associated with colds

• Fever associated with colds and flu-like infections

Suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over, with a body weight of 40 kg or more.

Dosage and Administration

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over (from 40 kg body weight)

• Initial dose: 1 film-coated tablet (400 mg ibuprofen)

• Thereafter, if necessary, 1 additional film-coated tablet every 4 hours

Maximum Daily Dose

• 3 film-coated tablets daily

• Corresponding to 1200 mg ibuprofen per day

Method of Administration

The film-coated tablets are swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.

Note

• The effect may be faster when taken on an empty stomach.

• For better stomach tolerability, it is recommended to take it with meals.

Duration of Administration

• For adolescents, a maximum of 3 days without consulting a doctor

• For adults, a maximum of 3 days for fever

• For adults, a maximum of 4 days for pain

If symptoms worsen or persist, a doctor should be consulted.

• equivalent to 400 mg ibuprofen

• Macrogol 4000

• Talc

• Titanium dioxide

• Opadry® 200 White

Side Effects

Like all medicines, ADOLORIN® IBUFORTE EXPRESS can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common

• Abdominal pain

• Nausea

• Indigestion

• Heartburn

• Diarrhea

• Vomiting

Occasional

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

• Skin rash

• Itching

Rare to Severe

• Stomach or intestinal ulcers

• Gastrointestinal bleeding

• Liver dysfunction

• Kidney dysfunction

• Severe skin reactions

• Severe allergic reactions with shortness of breath or swelling

Very Rare

• Heart attack or stroke, especially with long-term use of high doses

• Severe hypersensitivity reactions

If you experience shortness of breath, facial swelling, blood in your stool, black stool, or severe stomach pain, stop taking the medication immediately and seek medical attention without delay.
